During recent events that I have attended, I have been approached on several occasions by people asking me how to post on uk8ball so I have decided to make a set of simple instructions on the basics of the site. RegistrationIn order to reply to any topics on uk8ball you need to register. This is a quick and simple process. To register, go to http://www.uk8ball.com/user.php?op=registerYou will be presented with two boxes asking for your desired username and your E-mail address as shown below. Hit “Register” and you will then be asked to confirm your registration details. If all is correct hit “Yes” and you will then be given a confirmation of your username and a password that is randomly selected. On the same page there will be a box that you can then use to log in. Starting a New TopicOn any page on uk8ball there is a link that will take you to the forum page. It is located in the top right hand corner. Once you are on the forum page, select the subject, from the list at the bottom, which is relevant to your topic. On the following page, click the button that says “New Topic” which is located near the top left corner. You will then be presented with the page that you can use to create your new topic. Make sure you enter a subject or the post will be rejected by our system. Once you have entered any details that are relevant to your post, hit “Submit”. If you have entered all of the required fields you will be taken to view your post and your topic will then appear on our forum page. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM any of our site staff who will help you the best that they can. [ This message was edited by: ProfessorPool on 2007-06-26 11:13 ]

I can't think of a good logical reason why a top poker site would rig the outcome. They can make millions without taking the risk. Perhaps the small ones do, or the big ones did when they used to be small.

The extension is not for the clubs benefit. It because the FA do not want to work on a Sunday. They are the ones who actually process the registration paperwork, not the clubs.
And Berbatov will be wrapped up well before then if he's coming. Spurs just need to get realistic on their valuation. I'd say £20m plus success based add ons is about right.

The problem is that those buyers actually had not a great deal more to add, and when you combine it with the present Credit issues in the finance markets, they are stuck themselves. At the moment, as Macca has said, money is running the game and its difficult to see how Liverpool can continue as they are. They have been losing money, hence the general lack of funds available this summer, and Chelsea really are in a position to dominate football for as long as Roman wants to bank roll it.

Not sure that is the right philosophy TBH. If the site is funded by advertising then we are customers, it's not like they are providing a charitible service. The customers need to be updated regularly. This site has long been run by people with the attitude that they are doing us all a favour. Let's face it, it's not exactly Facebook, it could all be replaced in an hour or two should it cease to exist. It is merely a bunch of unfinshed garbage projects that all failed. Anything at all will be better than it is right now, so let's just sit and hope.

I don't know Hazel because I've just been on the ladies site - which you run - and there is no mention of any event on there that is paying out £3500 per event . For as long as I can remember you lovely ladies have bemoaned the lack of events and money offered to you by promotors and organisers of events but now you have one and for some strange reason that I can't comprehend , you ( generally , not specifically ) still aren't entering . It beggars belief really because this really could be the start of something good for the ladies game but if you are happy messing about for £200 prize funds then crack on..

Greatest Olympic Swimmer, without doubt, but too many similar events to rate overall greatest Olympian. My vote goes to Paavo Nurmi Won medals at three Olympics( 1920,24 & 2 and only prevented from winning at a 4th in 1932 when he would again have been amongst the favourites, by a ban for Professionalism which was later rescinded. In 1924 he won 4 Gold Medals in the 4 races he was entered in, including the 1500 & 5000 metres run within one & half hours of each other. But was so annoyed at not being selected for the 10,000 metres, that he ran the distance on a training track outside the stadium whilst the event took place inside, and whilst the Gold medal was won in a then World record time of 30min 23 secs inside, Nurmi ran it in 29 mins 58secs outside. Total of 9 Golds & 3 Silvers he also set 22 World records at distances varying from 1500 metres to 20 Kilometres

Brad researched and wrote a pretty decent article soon after that attempt, but it has probably been confined to the delete button by now.
If you can get your hands on them, there was a series of articles in some of the old pool magazines ("Pool Today"?, not sure without digging them out!) by Ron someone which were very in-depth.
Still more about the late seventies and eighties than the 1900s though. I have a load of "Pool scene" magazines somewhere. Anyone wanna buy them. The Chat even gets a mention or 2. He used to be good you know! Anyone remember John looker, Steve Sanders from memory they have a mention or 2 as well.

who bottled taking Holland to the World Cup, and asked Johann Cruyff to take over for him. Great player, good manager, doesn't have the bottle for the big stuff. We'll see how he does now manager of Ajax. Not sure about not having the bottle, there is always terminal in-fighting and politics in any Dutch squad, which is probably more the issue.

Last Post In Topic promoting your pool league?
my local paper has been hit and miss some times they put it in some times they dont, only thing they do do is get the current league standing of the web site (without my push to do so) its a rural area so sparse population, i already have a web site, and have a couple of sponsors (main one and couple of others) the league only has 11 teams in it but prob 7 years ago did have 2 divisions on 10 im attracting new team but seem to be losing old ones at hte same rate, which has ment the standard has dropped slightly and so attracting the old teams back is getting harder, few players went off to play in a league based 30 miles away due to a higher standard of pool being played any more promotion tips will be great thanks

everyteam in world hates man utd cos there scum.
would you agree than united are hated!!!!!!!
No, I wouldn't captain.
United are disliked. Off course they are. But they are also respected as a successful, self funding, attractive side to watch. They are a huge club with world wide support that breeds envy from others.
United are WINNERS captain. And in this country, winners are rarely liked.
Chelsea are nobodies. They an average size club that are effectively a play thing for a very wealthy man who would like to be play football but cant.
Chelsea will never be respected. They encompass so many things that are wrong with football. And had Roman not arrived they probably would not be in the Premiership. Days away from administration when he bought them.
They SHOULD be dominating football. Can you imagine their wage bill? It must be the largest in world football by a mile. But all underwritten by romans money.
I think you'd be surprised at how many non United and Chelsea fans would rather see United winning things than Chelsea. absolutley spot on AGAIN jase why do people have so much hatred for man united, like you said jase because they are winners, awesome team and exciting to watch

They do much the same thing only in a roundabout way via groups down to the last 16 (but where any two losses effectively means you are out) in the World 8 Ball and 9 ball Championships now as well.
It's getting to be a popular system.
